Today I was caught in middle of nowhere. A minister’s daughter was getting married. Who’s who of the town was heading in that direction. Police jumped into the unusual over enthusiastic mood and messed up all the traffic.
They stopped rikshaws and buses from coolelcting people on the roadside and muddy sidewalks was not a good idea for a walk.
Look at the contrast- on one hand there is celebration of joy. On the other side common man is made to suffer.
I know what you mean.This one fine sunny Saturday there was a wedding party taking place,no expense spared at Hotel Saga,a very exclusive luxury place according to Icelandic standard in the early 70's.I watched what everybody was excited and talking about through the window where I was working as a Chambermaid.I know so well what Cinderella felt like,just like these folks considered common men feel today being splatted by the muddy condition.
